Below you will see our ministry’s brief statement of faith. Everything that we do are based on these truths. Please take a moment to review them. You can also read our full statement of faith by clicking here.
HerBibleStudies.com Short Statement Of Faith:
The Bible: We believe the entire Bible, all 66 books of the combined Old and New Testaments. We Believe that the Bible was given by God through the power of His Holy Spirit as it carried His message through the writers and are inerrant in the original writings.
The Trinity: We believe that there is only one true, living sovereign, holy and eternally existent God. He exists in three co-equal persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-each being a distinct person and with a distinct function, but all of one essence and all possessing the same nature, perfection, and attributes. We believe that Jesus Christ is God and is the Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed many miracles, shed His blood on the cross as a substitute for mankind’s sin; He was buried, bodily resurrected, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return literally, visibly, and personally in glory and power.
Sin: We believe that Adam and Eve, the first man and woman, sinned by willful disobedience. This act of open rebellion resulted in the fall of all mankind; therefore, all people have sinned and lost their ability to live for the glory of God by that sin. Mankind’s fall has incurred both physical and spiritual death until there is forgiveness and salvation by the grace of God through the belief and acceptance of Jesus Christ.
Salvation: We believe that salvation is a free gift of God’s grace apart from human works, based solely upon Christ’s death and resurrection, effected by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit, and received only through faith in the person and finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross (A Person believes that Jesus came, died, and rose again for their sins). We believe that Jesus is the only way to Heaven and to reconciliation with God. We believe that salvation is only received through Jesus Christ. We believe that since God gives us eternal life through Christ, the believer (Christians) is secure in that salvation forever (never loose Salvation). Our salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the work of the believer. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23; For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24
Eternity: Mankind was created to live for eternity. Eternal man will live either eternally with Jesus or eternally with Satan. Jesus wishes no one to perish, for He is love and lived a sinless life, sacrificially died for our sins that all who believes in Him will live eternally with Him. Yet those who reject Him will perish in their sins and spend eternity with Satan separated from God.
Faith: Although we believe in service in the church and loyalty to an individual’s church, we also believe that Christians must place their faith and trust in Jesus and His Word alone. And not in a particular person, pastor, church, or denomination.
Work: We believe in the commandment of the Great Commission of Christ and therefore we encourage every believer to witness and share Jesus and the Gospel unceasingly to unbelievers as Christ has commissioned us to. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” Matthew 28:19
